live your life, babe. But also:
Finer, thinner and slower regrowth.
Shaving is full of cuts or irritation from shaving.
Save time and money.
No dark, itchy stubble.
Waxing also exfoliates! 2 services in 1! Hello??

All waxing is uses a soft strip wax (unless otherwise requested.)
Hard and hypoallergenic waxes are also available upon request.
-
Nope!
On the contrary: waxing makes hair look thinner, softer, and less dense over time.
-
Honestly, prob not.
here are three stages of hair. keep up, babe:
Anagen (growing)- At any given time, approximately 80-90% percent of hair follicles are in the growth phase.
Telogen (resting)- At any given time, approximately 10-15% of hair follicles are in the resting phase.
Catagen (transitional). At any given time 2-3% of hair follicles are in the tranistional phase.
Now, if you’ve been shaving, those cycles are happening all at the same time.
Buuuut when you start to get waxed, there's probably some hair underneath the skin growing, which hasn’t reached the surface yet. It can even be above the skin and not long enough to be grasped!
In the next few days or weeks, these hairs will make themselves known.
So it’ll take a few waxes for your cycles to catch up with one another.
PRO TIP: This is why its extremely important to start your waxing routine months before any special event.
-
Exfoliate super gently the day before your appointment. This’ll breakdown and loosen any built up dead skin cells around the base of the hair.
Take a warm shower or bath right before to open the pores.
Wear loose clothes.
Tryyyyyy to avoid caffeine and alcohol 24 hours prior to the appointment.
Tylenol or Ibuprofen is helpful 30 minutes prior.
-
I recommend 1/4-1/2 inch, or about 3 weeks of hair growth.
-
Depending on the body part and how fast your hair grows. But usually every 3-6 weeks is best.

Everyone’s pain threshold is different. What might be painful for some might not be painful for others.
That being said, there is some pain involved.
But I got choo: I do everything I can to make you feel comfortable during your wax. We’ve got great products, an amazing fast technique, I’ll help you breathe, and I’ll keep you and your nerves distracted.

For sure!
Heads up tho: you MUST have a fresh tampon in or menstrual cup to get any Bikini/Brazilian wax services.
Also, heads up: you may also experience more sensitivity while waxing during your cycle.
-
Getting hemorrhoids is so incredibly common.
No worries, you can still get that butt strip! I will get as close as I can to ensure you are leaving smooth everywhere!
-
Yes you can!
Keep in mind you may experience a little more sensitivity when getting waxed.
I keep pillows in the studio to ensure your comfort level.
If you are on the fence about waxing while pregnant, consult your doctor..

No please omg :)
Most of the time, people tend to trim too short.
So let me take a look, and if its too long, i’ll trim it up for you!

Please avoid these activities and/or products for 24-48 hours after waxing to avoid irritation, clogging or your pore, and/or ingrown hairs:
Sun/ tanning booths/ spray tanning. Extra precaution should be taken if using tanning accelerators. Wait 2-3 days to wax before/after tanning with accelerators.
Soaking in anything; baths, hot tubs, swimming pools, lakes, beaches, etc.
Steam rooms, or saunas.
Exfoliating
Deodorants, moisturizer or other creams and lotions for several hours after waxing so you don’t clog your pores.
Sex (if you received a Brazilian or between the cheeks service)
Working out.
If irritation should occur, recommend you use an antibiotic ointment or other topicals such as bacitracin, Neosporin, aloe vera, or cortisone cream to keep the area continually moist to avoid infection and scabbing.
-
Exfoliate , moisturize and use an ingrown hair serum. The Beauty Coven has an array of products to help prevent and treat ingrowns hairs that I can match you with. Aftercare if key to preventing. Exfoliating helps slough off old dead skin cells to help the hair break through the skin, while moisturizing will soften the skin after exfoliating left it with rough edges and will also soften the hair preventing it from becoming dry and brittle causing it to break which can cause more ingrown hairs. Ingrown hair serums can usually do a couple things from chemically exfoliating, to moisturizing.
DO NOT PICK OR SQUEEZE! No matter how tempting, do not do it! Picking and squeezing can cause further infection, and scarring,
Use a hot compress.
Stop wearing lace underwear. Lace underwear can break your hair causing ingrown hairs.
Never shave in between waxes. Shaving interrupts the hair growth cycle you have been working so hard to sync causing us to have to start all over and will most likely cause irritation and ingrown hairs. Put the razor down!
Stay consistent with your waxing. Staying consistent will get your hair on one growth cycle, which will give you better results.
Find a waxer you like (hopefully me), and stick with them. Every waxer pulls the strip slightly different. If you are jumping around from waxer to waxer, you hair is most likely being pulled out from a different angle everytime which can lead to ingrowns.
Try high frequency. High frequency uses small currents to oxygenate the skin. When applied to the surface of the skin, a mild electrical current passes through the argon gas filled glass electrode, causing it to emit a subtle glow and buzzing noise. Oxygen kills the acne causing bacteria.
Try a facial for your brazilian area. Coming soon!
